Learning in God’s Creation

Purposeful, hands-on experiences beyond the classroom walls

Creation as a Classroom

Outdoor Education at West Side Christian

We believe hands-on experiences in nature help build stronger, smarter, happier, and healthier children. Quality education includes regular opportunities to connect students with God’s classroom: the outdoors.

We educate the whole child by using God’s creation as a powerful teaching tool. Purposeful learning happens beyond the four walls of the classroom through intentional use of the surrounding landscape, our outdoor learning spaces, and our partnership with Blandford Nature Center. Every grade level is committed to spending time outdoors every month, allowing students to explore, learn, and grow through every season.
